September is almost upon us and I have everything ready for William to go back to school. I this post I hope to help you in your bid to be ready for school!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to be ready with school clothing<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I started to prepare for this back in June, knowing how quickly he grows. Many parents rushed out to get their uniforms. However I was that organised enough to do this back then in June\/July. His school shoes still fit him from last term. But when I did buy then I also bought the next size up in preparation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Emotions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

I did alot of research<\/a> about preparing <\/a>on how to be ready for school both mentally and physically. For the children as well as us parents<\/a>. Trying to be prepared for the surge of emotions. Those that we are all going to go through when they go back into education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The children know that it\u2019s coming<\/a> and we all really want to make sure they\u2019re ready. I am pretty sure that they will all be ready and well on their way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My five year old is going up a year and taking his school friends with him so won\u2019t be alone. That said, he is sensitive but can I help him be ready for school<\/a> and how? And how can we prepare those children who are starting completely new not knowing any other children?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I do have moments when I feel that the last four and half years have flown by. I do miss my baby boy. It took me a while to accept he\u2019s no longer a baby and I need to let him get on with his life. I am always going to be here to help when he needs me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ve always tried to give the impression that I almost<\/em> don\u2019t care which is my favoured parenting style. I adapted this to the way that it suits me. William knows I am proud of him<\/a> and he also knows that I would do literally anything for him. At the same time he needs that bit of help to gain a bit of independence. But remembering that every child is different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sensitivity<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

This is a sensitive subject (the name gives that away). I feel we need to keep in mind when sending them off to school,but every child is different. I worry that if he is like this he will be more susceptible to being bullied. I think back to my childhood and I was bullied and I was extremely reactive as a child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am I worrying too early? Surely there is no harm in being prepared. I worry because he\u2019s had a couple of moments where he\u2019s been on the receiving end of other children picking on him. The schools are trained and ready to help support parents with anything like this and I\u2019ve never been worried about asking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
